Qatar’s former finance minister to face trial

Qatar’s public prosecutor will launch a felony trial of former finance minister Ali Sherif Al Emadi, the state information company stated Sunday.   

Mr Al Emadi and an unidentified variety of others are charged with bribery, abuse of place and energy, injury to public funds and cash laundering, in accordance with the state-run Qatar information company.

An arrest warrant was issued for the previous minister in Could 2021.
